Raajje.mv has learnt that the three arrested in Sunday night's opposition rally have since been released.

While arrested were two women, including Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) activist Naeema Mohamed and one man, they were reportedly released a day after, on Monday.

Upon the three's release, members of parliament for Maduvvari constituency Mohamed Ameeth and Thinadhoo south constituency Abdulla Ahmed were apprehended in Monday's demonstration.

MP Ameeth had been arrested near Jumhooree Party (JP)'s national campaign house M. Kunooz while MP Abdulla was arrested while he was giving an interview to the media about opposition's nightly rallies.

While both MP's were previously arrested before sundown in Friday's rally, they were released not long after, later that night.

Among the many arrests being made at opposition rallies, Adhaalath party's parliament member Thooba Rasheed had also been arrested. Raajje.mv has learned that a few people were arrested from Monday's rally as well.

The opposition has been holding nightly protests since the 1st of February, calling for the implementation of the supreme court order releasing nine high-profile prisoners, and resintating the 12 opposition parliamentarians.

Police had revealed in a press conference held on Sunday afternoon that they had, under Fonadhoo MP and PPM's spokesperson Abdul Raheem Abdulla's appeal, declared that all political activities must cease after 10:30 pm every night which the opposition denies to follow.

Former president Mohamed Nasheed who is now in self-exile after he was sentenced a prison sentence of thirteen years by the government, has also urged authorities to lift the 'absurd' curfew.
