Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover were to perform at the New Year's Eve show
Bollywood power couple Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover have cancelled their appearance at the New Year’s Eve show in Maldives.
The cancellation comes after the show was promoted with the promise that the two will be performing at the show. However, it was reported at the last minute, that the two will not be taking part in the show, with the Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC) claiming that this was ‘due to a change to their schedules’.
In an Instagram photo posted three days ago, Basu asked her 4.9 million followers to guess where she and her husband were celebrating New Year 2018, adding that she hoped the fireworks ‘continue wherever we go…forever and ever’.
Pakistani musician Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Indian singer Mika Singh have arrived in the Maldives for the show, and will be performing together ‘for the first time ever’.
In addition, it is reported that another Bollywood couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are to make an appearance at the show.
