Police to destroy 500+ towed motorcycles
All vehicles were towed for violation of law, within this year
Police said they had to make three rounds from Malé to Thilafushi island, to transfer all the motorcycles
Police decided to destroy the motorcycles after owners failed to claim them

Maldives Police Service (MPS) is to destroy over 500 motorcycles which were towed for the capital Malé  City, for violation of the law.

The vehicles, towed within this year, have been taken to Thilafushi island, as the owner’s failed to claim them within the mandated time period.

Owners have a 60-day window, to request the release of their vehicles before they are destroyed by the police service.

While the police revealed that they had to make three rounds from Malé to Thilafushi island, to transfer all the motorcycles, they did not disclose when they will be dismantled.
