Two people have been injured in an accident in Addu City.
According to the police, the accident took place in Addu City’s Hithadhoo ward on Tuesday morning, when a motorcycle and pickup crashed into each other.
Online newspaper, Addu Live reports that the pickup belongs to the Ministry of Environment and Energy.
Police said that injured are the two on the motorcycle, two youth members.
While they are being treated at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, Addu Live reports that the two had sustained serious injuries, with one sustaining injuries to the head.
According to Addu Live, the family of the youth that sustained injuries to the head has been working to transport him to the capital Malé City for further treatment. However, the hospital has informed that they were unable to secure any room in any of the flights today, and that they have to wait till Wednesday.
