Schools closed on Thursday, with the end of the 2017 academic year.
Report cards were issued to students on Thursday, and the students will go on their year-end holiday.
The 2017 academic year started on January 8, with over 78,000 students across the country. A total of 7,700 teachers were employed this year, with 5,700 local teachers.
The 2018 academic year is to begin on January 14th. However, all teachers are to return to work on the 8th of January.
While the academic year is divided into two terms, first term exams will be held in May and second term exams in October.
