Canada’s Ambassador to the Maldives, David McKinnon, met with senior officials of RaajjeTV on Thursday.
Jennifer Hart, the Political and Economic Counsellor at the High Commission of Sri Lanka and Maldives, accompanied the Ambassador, while RaajjeTV’s officials included Managing Director Ahmed Saleem and Chief Operating Officer Hussain Fiyaz Moosa.
Both parties spoke on the current situation in the country, including the various concerns and challenges.
Following the meeting, MD Saleem presented the Ambassador with a special pen, displaying Maldivian lacquer work.
This is Ambassador McKinnon’s first visit to the Maldives, with him presenting his credentials to President Abdulla Yameen on Wednesday.
