The Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) has decided to lift the suspension of three additional lawyers.
In a move condemned by the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), the DJA suspended 54 lawyers in September, after a call to reform the country's judiciary.
According to an announcement made by the DJA on Monday, suspension had been lifted for Mariyam Haneefa Khalid, Fareesha Abdulla and Fath'hulla Ismail. It said that the suspensions were lifted after reviewing their cases.
DJA said that they can resume practice from November 13.
