Three individuals have been arrested in Gan island of Laamu atoll, over a machete attack that left a minor injured.

RaajjeMV understands that three suspects have been taken into police custody over the attack, and are to be kept in remand until the trial concludes.

However, RaajjeMV was unable to get a comment from the Maldives Police Service on the matter.

Masked assailants, traveling in two motorbikes, had stabbed the 17-year-old with a machete, on Thursday night.

While he is still being treated at Laamu Gan Regional Hospital, RaajjeMv understands that his condition in improving.
