Thimarafushi Constituency MP Mohamed Musthafa says that he knew who had orchestrated the arson attack on RaajjeTV four years ago.
Speaking in RaajjeTV MP Musthafa said President Abdullah Yameen’s statements were nothing new, adding that he wished to see closure of RaajjeTV. This, he said had been going on for a very long time.
Referring to the arson attack on the station, MP Musthafa noted it had occurred mere months before this administration came to power. He said he was privy to how the attack was planned and who was behind it.
He said the entire attack was narrated by one of the perpetrators who hailed from his Constituency. MP Musthafa said the youth had clearly told him the entire story, which was still fresh in his memory. He added the present Government had carried out this following their election. In spite of this, MP Musthafa said RaajjeTV continued to be popular with more and more citizens accepting the station.
Even though four years had lapsed to the event, the authorities have been unable to find the perpetrators.
