Detune Band is undoubtedly one of the most successful bands in the country.

Their song "Nashaala" from the first album "One Down", released in July 2015, has been one of their biggest hits so far; its video alone was a hit with over 300,000 views on YouTube.

The song has been making waves again, and this time it could be a huge opportunity for those looking to break into the local music scene.

Detune has announced a "Nashaalaa" cover challenge, "for all the upcoming artists and people who want to pursue the field of music".

Those interested are to send in their cover videos before the 30th September.

The band urges participants "to use [their] creativity and imagination" in making the videos.

Furthermore, Detune will choose the top two covers, and the winners will get to perform on stage with the band, both at a resort and in Malé City. They will also get a signed copy of the band's album "One Down".

"So, don’t hold back. Send them in and let's try to have some fun," said Detune.
