FAM Veterans Cup: New Radiant defeated by Villimalé United in second match
Villimalé United defeated New Radiant 2-1 in a FAM Veterans Cup Group B match at Maafannu Turf Ground. After a scoreless first half, Hassan Solah and Ismail Mohamed scored for Villimalé, while Izzath Abdul Ghanee netted a consolation goal for New Radiant. This result marks the first defeat for New Radiant in the competition following their opening win.

New Radiant Sports Club faced a defeat against Villimalé United in their second Group B fixture of the ongoing FAM Veterans Cup.
In the match held at Maafannu Turf Ground on Wednesday afternoon, Villimalé United secured a 2-1 victory over New Radiant. All goals from both sides were scored during the second half of the game.
Hassan Solah broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, giving Villimalé United the lead. Just two minutes later, Ismail Mohamed doubled their advantage, further strengthening their position.
New Radiant managed to pull a goal back in the 59th minute through Izzath Abdul Ghanee, narrowing the deficit shortly after Villimalé's second goal. Despite their efforts, New Radiant were unable to find an equalizer before the final whistle.
While New Radiant had secured a win in their opening group stage match, this result marks their first setback in the competition. Group B consists of New Radiant, Villimalé United, Muiveyo Friends Club, Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC), and Da Grande.
