While Faisal has been removed from the position of Tourism Minister, the Ministry of Tourism has been temporarily handed over to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed.
Faisal is the son of the Speaker of the People's Majlis and the Chairperson of the main ruling party, People's National Congress (PNC), Abdul Raheem Abdulla.
