Renowned Maldivian culinary expert Chef Maha Naseer has been selected as a judge for the Thailand World Junior Chef Battle 2024.

The prestigious tournament is taking place in Bangkok, Thailand from August 28 – 31.

Featuring 16 teams comprising 12 international teams and four teams from Thailand, the competition is observing the participation of culinary enthusiasts across several countries including Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Mongolia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, USA, Australia, and Greece.

A panel of renowned international chefs is adjudicating the prestigious event.

With years of experience as a chef, Maha brings a wealth of experience to her role as a judge at the event.

Having served as the Secretary General of the Chef Guild of Maldives earlier, Maha presently fills a position at the board of the country’s official tourism promotion board, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

Chef Maha has won several national and international accolades for her culinary expertise throughout her extensive career and is one of the few female executive chefs in the Maldives.

The celebrated Maldivian chef holds the distinction of being the first Maldivian to attain the prestigious title of Master Chef in the country.

Her participation at this global culinary event mirrors the growing appreciation for Maldivian cuisine, internationally.
