Mohamed Mihadh has been sacked from his position as the Chairperson of Island Aviation.

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) revealed this on Wednesday.

However, no replacement has been appointed to the post yet.

Prior to being appointed as the Chairperson of Island Aviation in January this year, Mihadh served as the Managing Director of the company from March 2021 to 18 November 2023.

Alongside serving as the company’s MD for three years, Mihadh also filled the positions of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL)’s Board Director and Managing Director of Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC)

Three members were appointed to the board of directors of the newly-formed development bank on Wednesday; Ahmed Ali, Saeed Abdul Nasir Bin Saeed Hassan al-Junaid and Robert Danielle.
