President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has concluded his official visit to Antigua and Barbuda.
The Maldivian leader returned home on Friday morning.
He departed on the trip on May 24.
The purpose of his visit was to attend the fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
President Muizzu co-chaired the conference.
During the events held as part of the conference, President Muizzu urged the international community to honor its past commitments and meet SIDS's tailored financing needs.
He also condemned the acts of violence and aggression by Israel and called on the leaders of SIDS for collective solidarity with the people of Palestine.
The Maldivian leader participated in multiple conference discussions and engaged in numerous sideline events and held high-level bilateral and multilateral meetings.
President Muizzu played a pivotal role in advocating for SIDS during the conference.
He also proposed multiple solutions to identify and resolve the unique challenges and issues related to SIDS.
