President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has offered condolences on the death of Ambassador of France to the Maldives.
In a message of condolences sent to the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, President Muizzu expressed deep sorrow in learning of the death of Ambassador of France Jean-François Pactet on Sunday.
Describing Ambassador Pactet as a distinguished diplomat who worked to enhance the close relationship between Maldives and France, the Maldivian leader stated that the late ambassador’s services will be cherished and honored.
In conclusion, President Muizzu offered heartfelt condolences on behalf of the government and people of Maldives, to the government of France and that family of the late ambassador
Further, Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer also sent a message of condolence to his French counterpart, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Stéphane Séjourné.
In his message, FM Zameer highlighted that the late ambassador will be remembered as a dear friend of the Maldives.
The foreign minister stated that the late ambassador had worked tirelessly to strengthen the robust relations between the two countries.
