The First Couple has concluded their visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajida Mohamed departed to Saudi Arabia for Umrah pilgrimage on May 10.

They concluded their brief Umrah trip and returned on Wednesday evening.

They travelled to perform Umrah on the gracious hospitality of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Head Imaam of the Islamic Center Sheikh Mohamed Latheef, Chief of Staff the President's Office Abdulla Fayaz, Minister at the President’s Office for Presidential Affairs Ali Arif and Minister at the President’s Office Abdulla Nasir accompanied the president and first lady on the Umrah trip.

The first couple’s delegation travelled on an aircraft arranged by the Saudi government.

As part of the trip, the president met with Maldivian students in Madinah.

24 Maldivian students in Madinah attended the meeting that took place on May 11 and discussed their needs and concerns with the president.

Listening to these concerns, the president assured them that he would examine the issues raised and work to seek efficient solutions.
