Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer is to engage in discussions regarding expanding ties with India, during his trip to the neighboring country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday revealed that the Maldivian foreign minister will be departing on an official visit to the neighboring country on Wednesday.
FM Zameer will conclude his trip to India and return home on May 10.
As part of the trip, FM Zameer will sit down for discussions with India’s Minister of External Affairs Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
Discussions will focus on deepening and expanding the longstanding partnership between the two countries.
This is the foreign minister’s first official visit to India since assuming office.
