Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer has participated in the Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders (IGWEL) High-level Luncheon on “Charting a Global Security and Growth Agenda” during the World Economic Forum Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development.
The Maldivian minister participated in the luncheon on Sunday.
Taking to social media platform ‘X’ following the luncheon, FM Zameer expressed honor in participating and noted that he had the opportunity to engage with leaders from different sectors, including heads of state and government.
During the talks, he offered a perspective from the Maldives, on the contemporary security landscape.
Discussions also revolved around pressing security concerns in the Middle East.
FM Zameer highlighted that it is crucial to unite as one and explore innovative solutions to address common challenges, as the people navigate through the unprecedented security challenges facing the world currently.
The high-level luncheon brought together 80 policy makers, business leaders and experts from different sectors.
The luncheon saw the participants discussing and exchanging views on addressing global security challenges faced by the world presently.
Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders (IGWEL) sessions are the World Economic Forum’s highest-level sessions and only those invited, can participate.
