The incumbent administration of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is to provide a “permanent” solution to the housing issues facing Hinnavaru island of Lhaviyani atoll.
This was announced by the president, while speaking to residents of the island on Saturday.
Promising to seek a permanent solution to the housing issues facing Hinnavaru community, the president shed light on the initiation of several infrastructure projects alongside efforts to address housing needs.
Some of these initiatives include plans for road construction and port enhancements, ensuring the provision of essential utilities including water, electricity, and sanitation in the newly reclaimed areas, within 2024.
Stressing how important every single citizen is to his administration, the president assured that he remains committed to treat the people equally, with no discrimination, “irrespective” of their political beliefs.
Highlighting that a person’s political beliefs have no impact in his decisions, Muizzu committed to provide equal attention to all communities across the nation, regardless of population size, which would in turn ensure the fulfillment of pending projects.
