President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has mandated to keep the national flag raised 24 hours at all government institutions, effective Saturday.
This decision, articulated in President Dr. Muizzu's inaugural address delivered upon assuming office, underscores the commitment to a continuous display of our cherished national flag. He emphasized that the sun will now never set on this esteemed symbol, which will proudly flutter in every island of the Maldives.
Traditionally, the national flag was raised from 6 am to 6 pm daily.
