The site for the project connecting Kalaidhoo and Dhanbidhoo islands in Laamu atoll through a causeway has been mobilized.
This was revealed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Wednesday.
As such, taking to Twitter to provide the latest updates of the Kalaidhoo-Dhanbidhoo causeway project to the public, MTCC revealed that they mobilized the project site on September 10.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to conduct channel dredging operations in an area measuring 42,624 cubic meters.
The company will also be constructing a revetment measuring 271 meters and a scouring apron measuring 752 meters.
In addition to this, the construction of a 315-meter bridge, a retaining wall measuring 714 meters and a carriageway measuring 7,266 square meters also come under the scope of the project.
The project also entails the installation of streetlights.
The Kalaidhoo-Dhanbidhoo causeway project is valued at MVR 144.38 million.
