Police conducts second search on MP Faris’ residence

Officers of Maldives Police Service near MP Faris' residence
Teams from Maldives Police Service have searched Maafannu Snow Rose, the residence of now jailed Dhiggaru Constituency MP Ahmed Faris Maumoon, for a second time.
The team removed the DVR of the security cameras fixed on the apartment.
Yumna Maumoon, sister of MP Faris, said that it was deeply concerning that Police had attempted the search while MP Faris was in Police custody.
MP Faris was arrested on Tuesday, following a search of his residence, over allegations of attempted bribery of his fellow Parliamentarians. Several items were removed from the apartment.
