Newly completed infrastructure projects have been inaugurated in Hithadhoo island of Laamu atoll.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the projects initiated under his administration, during separate ceremonies held in Hithadhoo on Tuesday.

President Solih inaugurated the projects as part of his campaign tour across Laamu atoll, ongoing as part of his bid for re-election in this year’s Presidential election, slated for September.

The Maldivian leader was accorded a warm welcome upon arrival in Hithadhoo.

Some of the projects inaugurated in Hithadhoo include the new office building of FENAKA Corporation as well as the futsal ground.

The FENAKA office is a modern facility that can accommodate up to 30 employees.

Further, the turf futsal ground boasts of modern amenities and facilities as well. The project was implemented by the Maldives Assure Supply private limited. The upgraded football ground mirrors a significant investment in the local community and provides athletes and football enthusiasts in the island with access to a state-of-the-art facility to immerse themselves in an unequalled sporting experience.

These initiatives will pave the path for a high-quality field for local athletes alongside supporting the development of sports across the scatter of island comprising Maldives.

The incumbent administration has made significant strides towards the equitable development of all inhabited islands nationwide without discrimination, under the capable leadership of President Solih.

The government-led initiatives have ensured that the quality of life of island residents has been enhanced and they have been empowered to lead dignified lives.

President Solih has been officially inaugurating several development initiatives that have been completed across the scatter of islands comprising the Maldives, as part of his campaign tours.
