President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated several key projects in Kondey Island of Gaafu Alif Atoll.
The newly completed infrastructure projects in Kondey island was inaugurated on Thursady, as part of President Solih's visit to the island.
Inaugurated on Thursday were the new Fenaka Office of the island, the Island Council building and the new powerhouse of the island.
The Island Council building inaugurated by the President is a spacious and modern office building. The project was contracted to A-Man Maldives Pvt. Ltd.
The Fenaka office is spacious and modern and can accommodate 30 employees.
The new powerhouse has an electricity generation capacity of 500 kilowatts. The old powerhouse was built 21 years ago.
Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has made significant strides towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives.
During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services. The new facilities inaugurated in Kondey will improve the quality of life for the island's residents and boost economic development.
