President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated the completion of the school extension building and the Fenaka Office in Dhevvadhoo Island in Gaafu Alif Atoll.
The projects were inaugurated on Wednesday, as part of President Solih's visit to the island.
The new two-story extension of Sultan Mohamed School on Dhevvadhoo Island comprises of two classrooms, a health room, and a library. Wellman Maldives Pvt. Ltd. carried out the project.
The new Fenaka Office is a state-of-the-art building with ample space for 30 employees. Strategically located away from community residences, this project replaces the island's previous powerhouse and demonstrates the administration's commitment to address the challenges island residents face.
The President also inaugurated the Azzrova Pipe Factory, developed in Dhevvadhoo Island by a private business. Owned by Azzrova Maldives Pvt. Ltd., the factory specializes in the manufacture of pipes for water, sewerage, and other purposes.
Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has made significant progress towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes improving the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
