A toddler has been found dead at sea in Kolhufushi island of Meemu atoll.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that found dead was a one-year-old boy.
They received reports of the dead toddler at around 11:38am on Sunday.
The toddler was pronounced dead upon arrival at the island’s health center.
MPS further revealed that the toddler's body was discovered during a search for him, after he went missing.
Further investigations into the incident are currently underway.
