President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has invited Czech investors to explore investment opportunities in the Maldives.
He made the invitation during a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Monday, which saw the new Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Maldives Dr. Eliška Žigová presenting her Letter of Credence to the Maldivian leader.
Monday’s meeting saw President Solih highlighting that Maldives is open to foreign investments in multiple sectors, with which he invited Czech investors to explore investment opportunities in the archipelago nation.
Further, he congratulated the new Czech ambassador on the beginning of her ambassadorial tenure.
Highlighting that 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, President Solih touched upon further enhancing friendly relations and enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
Discussions also revolved around enhancing cooperation in several fields including climate change, tourism, health, environment and higher education.
Before concluding their discussions, President Solih and Ambassador Žigová expressed mutual hope to enhance bilateral ties between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest.
