Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has disclosed that the harbor breakwater and quaywall construction project of Hithaadhoo island in Baa atoll is well underway.
MTCC states that the company has completed existing harbor basin dredging operations.
Additionally, the full shipment of concrete blocks required for quaywall construction have been delivered to the site.
The scope of the project include dredging and excavation operations of 14,929 cubic meters and channel dredging operations of 4,101 cubic meters.
Additionally, the company will be doing construction work of a 22 meters groyne 495 meters breakwater, a 90 meters revetment and a bridge.
MTCC will also be repairing a 350 meters queywall.
Furthermore, they will also be installing 1,750 square meters of harbor pavement, navigational aids and harbor lights.
Scope of work of the project, also include construction of a ramp and a concrete platform.
The value of the project is MVR 19.80 million.
