A 30-year-old Maldivian man was stabbed inside a shop in capital Male' City on Friday

A 30-year-old Maldivian man was stabbed inside a shop in capital Male' City on Friday.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) disclosed that the man was stabbed inside a shop located near the BG Garage in Maafannu district of Male’ at around 09:30 pm.

As per bystanders, the young man ran into the shop to evade his pursuers. However, two men on a motorcycle arrived at the shop and stabbed him leaving him in a pool of his blood.

Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) disclosed that the man is now receiving treatment at the hospital. As such, the hospital stated that doctors performed surgery on him, and that he is currently on ventilator support.
