The new high commissioner of Namibia to Maldives is committed to further solidify the friendship between Maldives and Namibia.

Gabriel P. Sinimbo presented his Letter of Credence to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih as the newly appointed Non-Resident High Commissioner of Namibia to Maldives on Sunday.

Following the credentials ceremony, the new Namibian HC paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid where he expressed commitment to work to further enhance the friendship between the two countries.

Welcoming the new Namibian HC to the Maldives, FM Shahid congratulated him on presenting credentials to the Maldivian president.

During the meeting, FM Shahid also expressed confidence that the relations between both countries will continue to grow stronger, in the years ahead.

Ideas to further enhance the bilateral ties and cooperation between Maldives and Namibia in areas of mutual interest were also exchanged.

Thanking the Maldivian foreign minister for the warm welcome extended to him upon arrival, the Namibian HC expressed commitment to work closely with the government of Maldives as well as the Maldivian people to further solidify the friendship between the two countries.

The meeting was joined by Foreign Secretary Ahmed Latheef, Bilateral Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, Secretary Economic Cooperation Dr. Hussain Niyaz and Director at the Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Fazeel.

Further, the new high commissioner of Namibia also called on Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel in a separate meeting where discussions were held on ways to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
