The Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the Republic of Maldives David Emmanuel Puig Buchel, has presented his letter of credence to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The Dominican Ambassador presented his letter of credence to the President during a ceremony held at the President's Office on Tuesday.
After the credentials ceremony, President Solih sat down with the Ambassador and congratulated him upon his appointment.
The meeting saw President Solih and the Ambassador discussing various topics of mutual interest, including promoting sustainable tourism, environmental cooperation, and building disaster resilience.
The President also emphasized that the Maldives and the Dominican Republic had maintained 12 years of stable diplomatic relations.
Before concluding the meeting, the President and the Ambassador reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries in areas of mutual interest and working alongside each other on the multilateral front.
