Vice President Faisal Naseem has attended the opening ceremony of the Sharm El-Sheikh Climate Implementation Summit.
VP Naseem attended the opening ceremony on Monday.
The Sharm El-Sheikh Climate Implementation Summit is being hosted by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

VP Naseem was accompanied at the ceremony by Minister of Environment, Climate Change, and Technology, Aminath Shauna.
He will be delivering the national statement of the Maldives at the Sharm El-Sheikh Climate Implementation Summit.
COP27 is a significant event for the archipelago nation and paves the path for the opportunity to address the sustainable development plans of Maldives, as well as to advocate the country’s position on global climate concerns.
