Hotelier Maldives to launch 'Hotelier Maldives Awards', a celebration of excellence in the Maldivian hospitality industry.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Hotelier Maldives said that its Awards will acknowledge a number of outstanding employees for a number of categories.

"The architecture and design, as well as the overall performance of the resorts and hotels in the Maldives, are well recognized in industry forums through awards both locally and internationally. However, as of present, as award that specifically recognizes the employees working behind the scenes to deliver a memorable guest experience is lacking. And Hotelier Maldives Awards seeks to address this lack through hosting an annual function," reads the statement.

It said that the various categories will be announced in December, including General Manager of the Year, Sales Person of the Year, Finance Person of the Year, Hotel Team of the Year, etc.

Hotelier Maldives said that nominations for the awards "can be made through a dedicated page on its website [hoteliermaldives.com]," and that winners will be decided "by an independent panel of expert judges, ensuring the integrity of the awards, acknowledging only those who are truly deserving of the accolade".

In addition, Hotelier Maldives announced that its print edition, which is currently published bi-monthly, is to be relaunched as a monthly magazine "due to growing interest and demand from customers".

"This will help increase frequency and variety for advertisers and allow it to feature more up-to-date articles, stories and relevant content regarding the hospitality industry in the Maldives and beyond," said Hotelier Maldives.
