Bank of Maldives has announced to support the Maldives Deaf Association to develop a sign language dictionary.
BML announced its support to the Maldives Deaf Association to develop a sign language dictionary to commemorate the International Day of Sign Languages.
This is part of the work the Association is undertaking to empower and promote the rights of the deaf community in Maldives.
Additionally, to ensure inclusive and accessible services are provided for customers with disabilities, BML held sign language training sessions for staff in partnership with the Association.
In 2020, the Bank also held sign language training session for staff in partnership with Maldives Deaf Association.
