Discussions have been held on the agreements being negotiated between the governments of Maldives and Indonesia.
This was done during a courtesy call paid by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Maldives, Dewi Gustina Tobing on Vice President Faisal Naseem on Monday morning.
During the meeting held at the President’s Office, VP Naseem and the Indonesian ambassador discussed the existing close bilateral relationship between the two countries.
The talks also saw the pair expressing hope to strengthen bilateral consultations to explore new avenues of cooperation to further solidify the partnership.
Discussions also revolved around cooperation in air connectivity, higher education, healthcare services, tourism, people-to-people contact and business cooperation between the two countries.
Further, the Maldivian vice president and Indonesian ambassador also spoke regarding the benefits of the visa waiver agreement that concluded recently.
Deliberations were held regarding the agreements that are currently in negotiation, as part of the meeting.
VP Naseem concluded by expressing hope that the friendly relations between the two countries will continue to prosper.
