Japan has donated 3 vehicles that are accessible to individuals with disabilities.

In the ceremony held on Monday of this week Japan donated 3 vehicles to Maldives Association of Persons with Disabilities (MAPD). As a representative of the Japanese government, the Japanese ambassador to Maldives Midori Takeuchi gifted the vehicles.

The ceremony held had the members MAPD youth minister Ahmed Makhloof as well as the managing director of HDC Suhail Ahmed all present in receiving the vehicles.

The vehicles are made in a way that people with disabilities can go on and off it easier. It would make it a lot easier for athletes with disabilities to travel to places according to youth minister Ahmed Mahloof.
