BBM sponsored six young chefs to attend the Worldchefs Congress

Bestbuy Maldives Pvt. Ltd. (BBM) has sponsored six young chefs’ expenses to attend the Worldchefs Congress 2022.

This year’s Worldchefs Congress & Expo will take place from May 30 to June 02, 2022 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This will be the first major gathering of culinary and hospitality professionals since the global COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in 2020.

Worldchefs Congress is aimed to build networks, exchange ideas, learning from one another, and to promote global cooperation among the industry.

Chefs Guild of Maldives has participated and represented Maldives in the Worldchefs Congress & Expo in previous years as well. This year’s congress will witness a delegation from the Maldives, comprising of 20 talented chefs. These include the six young chefs currently pursuing higher education in the field.

Like previous years, the upcoming Worldchefs Congress & Expo will witness keynotes and presentations from iconic industry pioneers and innovators.

As such, the Educators’ Forum of the congress comprises of representatives of 80 culinary schools from 50 countries. Moreover, chefs from more than 70 countries will compete for the title of World Best Chefs at the Global Chefs Challenge.

Additionally, there will also be a platform designed for young chefs under the age of 25 to come together with industry peers and mentors, to seek new professional opportunities and learn valuable skills from each other.
