The Executive Enhancement and Enrichment Programme (EEEP) will greatly assist in the administration’s efforts to reform, improve and deliver public services, says President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

He made this remark during his speech at the launching ceremony of the two-year programme on Monday.

Highlighting that the incumbent administration has prioritized improving public services since day one, the president stressed that corresponding efforts are required to ensure the administration’s pledges are delivered.

With this being said, the president urged all political and civil staff to come together and work towards this “common” goal.

Further, he went on to urge the active engagement of all political staff in the implementation of the government’s policies and shed light on the significance of maintaining a strong relationship between political and civil staff, which the president said would greatly improve the efficiency of public services.

Touching down on some efforts made by the government to improve public services, Solih stated that the launching of the “gov.mv message” service had provided great ease to the citizens. The service is an official digital service for citizen-to-government communications.

President Solih also stressed on the need to create public awareness and train public servants on the use of technological advancements to ease the delivery of services and noted that the government is working hard to establish service charters for all public offices.

The launching ceremony was joined by Vice President Faisal Naseem and other high-level government officials.

The two-year programme intends to enhance the skills and capabilities of political and executive staff in management positions in the civil service and was initiated jointly by the Public Service Training Unit of the President’s Office and the Civil Service Training Institute (CSTI).
