The government is to develop a new building for Arabiyya School, on the plot of land where the old Jamaluddin School is located.
This was announced during a meeting held between President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Al Madhrasathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya on Monday.
During the meeting, the Arabiyya School PTA was assured that the Solih administration will find a permanent solution to their concerns.
Discussing the state of the Arabiyya School building, the president updated the members that the government has decided to develop a new building for the school on the land plot of the old Jamaluddin School.
PTA members further shed light on their concerns regarding temporary solutions proposed by the Ministry of Education and challenges faced by the students. They also made suggestions to address said issues.
Listening to these concerns, the president assured that the concerns and issues raised by the school officials will be taken to the ministry and relevant authorities in a bid to explore ways to provide solutions.
