Discussions have been held regarding cooperation between Maldives and Nigeria in the fields of trade and investments.

Abioye Mohammed Bello, the new Non-Resident High Commissioner of Nigeria to Maldives paid a courtesy call on Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel on Monday.

The call saw the pair engage in discussions regarding areas of mutual interest and exchanging ideas to further strengthen the bilateral ties and cooperation between both countries.

Welcoming the new High Commissioner of Nigeria to the Maldives, State Minister Khaleel congratulated Bello on the commencement of his tenure.

The meeting saw the new High Commissioner assuring State Minister Khaleel of his commitment to work with the Maldivian government to further solidify the ties between both countries.

Additional Secretary Mohamed Faisal and Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Moomina Ibrahim joined the meeting.
