MNDF said the fire originated from a sofa in one of the rooms
National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has provided relief aid to the family affected by the fire that occurred at their residence in capital Male' City on Friday night.
NDMA via Twitter revealed MVR 7,800 has been provided to the family as relief aid, to cover shelter arrangements and other basic needs.
While a fire broke out at their residence in the capital's Mahchagoalhi district at around 7:45pm on Friday, no injuries were reported. However, all their belongings were destroyed beyond use.
Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said that the fire originated from a sofa in one of the rooms.
The fire was brought under control by 8:04pm.
