Economic ministry has stated that TradeNet Maldives Cooperation Limited would be extending their services to other ministries.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, Economic Minister, Fayyaz Ismail stated that TradeNet is expanding and working on providing “one stop services”. This service includes aiding business-related government bodies; meaning that the economic ministry’s call center would be operated under TradeNet Maldives Corporation.
TradeNet is a 100 percent government company and so it has been confirmed by the economic ministry that all trading within the government will take place through TradeNet from here on. Furthermore, the ministry stated that this company would work on a round-the-clock basis and that relevant government bodies will be given a contract to work with TradeNet.
TradeNet is the operator of the National Single Window (NSW) that provides a platform for single data exchange to be integrated into the trading process. The company was founded in October 2019. The board of the company includes Chairman, Yoosuf Riyaz, Managing Director, Ahmed Shiham and Directors, Nahiya Mohamed, Shurufa Abdul Waheed, Mahmood Riyaz and Mariyam Visha.
