BML to offer card collection services from Sunday through June 10
 
Customers have been urged to adhere to Covid-19 safety precautions when visiting the center
 
The centre will be open from Sunday to Thursday
 
This will be effective from May 30

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the decision to open for card collection services from Sunday.

The country’s national bank revealed that they will be providing card collection services at the Customer Service Center from Sunday through June 10. During this period all branches and service centers will be closed to the public, BML had earlier revealed.

BML will continue issuing cards to customers between 10am and 2pm from Sundays through Thursday until June 10.

The bank revealed that a limited number of customers are to be served, through online tokens via the QueueBee mobile app.

This was done as a safety precaution against the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, BML revealed that only customers who have acquired the required police permits and hold BML tokens will be served.

BML has urged customers to strictly adhere to the face mask mandate, observe strict social distancing, use hand sanitizers placed inside the center and bring their own pens for the safety of their staff, as well as customers.

Further, the bank revealed that elderly customers and those with disabilities will not be required to visit the card collection center as an added precautionary measure. As such, the bank will be arranging delivery for said customers if requested.

BML’s branches and service centers remain closed throught his period as a precautionary measure against the worsening Covid-19 situation in the country, and in line with the measures implemented by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) to control the spread of the virus.

Until June 10, all branches and service centers including the Customer Service Center will be closed to the public, as BML’s highest priority currently is to ensure and safeguard the health and safety of their employees as well as customers.

BML announced that they will be providing essential services through online platforms on weekdays, to ensure continued customer support.
