A dead body has been discovered inside a house in Hanimaadhoo island of Haa Dhaal atoll.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) told media that found deceased inside a home in Hanimaadhoo island was a 64-year-old.
The police institution confirmed that the person found dead inside the house, was renting a room at the residence.
Officers had gone to his residence as there was no news of the person after entering the room.
The police officers who went inside the room found the person lying unresponsive on the bed.
MPS cited the island’s health center having revealed that the person was already dead when brought in.
Although no additional details including the person’s identity have been disclosed, police revealed that further investigations are currently underway in connection with the death.
