President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has once again reiterated the promises made to the people of Lhohi island in Noonu atoll.

Speaking at a meeting with the residents of Lhohi during his visit to the island on Thursday, Muizzu said that the practical work on the development projects requested by the community for the island's progress will commence in the near future. He also assured the island community that the projects would be completed.

Muizzu went on to shed light on the difficulties in fully utilizing the harbor in all seasons, and with technical advice, he assured that the work would be completed in a way that allows long-term use of the harbor, as requested by the people.

Further, Muizzu said that contracts for development projects across several parts of the country would be signed in the near future. He also mentioned that the practical work on these projects would commence soon.

The president said that the construction of the health of the health center building in Lhohi, equipped to provide all necessary services, will begin towards the end of 2025. He also assured that the project to construct a fully-equipped building to address the space constraints faced by the school would begin in 2026.

President Muizzu also promised to undertake other necessary developments for Lhohi island. These are promises the president made to the island earlier as well.
