The Maldivian youth have led a special walk, under the name ‘Ummah with Palestine’.

The walk was organized to raise voices against the inhumane crimes committed by Israel against the innocent civilians of Palestine.

The walk, which began at 8:00pm on Friday night, proceeded from the Social Center to the Artificial Beach.

The activity was initiated by Maldivian youth in response to the ongoing oppression of innocents in Palestine.

The walk, led by Youth for Unity, received a great public response.

Other organizations also participated in the walk.

Participants called for the expulsion of the U.S. Embassy from the Maldives.

They also called to expedite the ban on Israeli passports and Israeli products.

After the walk, a special lecture was held at the Artificial Beach region.

The lecture provided information about the holy land of Palestine and the crimes committed by Israel in Palestine.

On Friday evening, similar activities were carried out by youth.

A 'Boycott Stall' was set up to showcase alternative products that could be used instead of boycotted Israeli products.

The evening activity was conducted as a fundraising event.

In addition to this, awareness activities were also conducted.

Maldivians have been holding a series of rallies over the course of the past few months, demanding for a ceasefire and voicing against the continuous inhumane attacks by Israel on Gaza.

Maldivian youth have continuously been taking to the streets calling to boycott companies profiting from the genocide of innocent Palestinian civilians.

Protestors have been calling on the public to avoid funding genocide and to turn their backs to such companies.

These companies are included among the list of companies profiting from the genocide of innocent Palestinian civilians by Israel and individuals across the globe are actively participating in protests calling to boycott their products.

Coca Cola, Pizza Hut, KFC, Burger King and Puma are included among several companies profiting from the genocide of Palestinians that the Palestine-led Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement continues to voice against.

Israeli armed forces have been carrying out unprovoked air strikes across Gaza since 7 October 2023. Israel declared war on Palestine after Hamas launched a mass military operation into the territory of Israel on 7 October 2023 in response to Israeli violation of the Al Aqsa Mosque. Attacks on Palestinians by Israeli settlers have since spiked and the death toll has exceeded the 44,000-mark.
