The Bank of Maldives has launched a platform to bolster its internet banking services to customers holding personal accounts.
The platform was launched on Thursday by CEO and Managing Director Andrew Healy.
“We are confident that the new BML Internet Banking, with its user-friendly interface and new features, will make the lives of our customers much easier” CEO Healy said, adding that nine of ten of customers’ transactions are made online.
Some of the features of the more technologically advanced platform are:
- Improved account view, transfer and payment functionality
- Faster password reset feature
- Downloadable account and credit card statements in official BML format
- Ability to upload supporting documents for international transfers Latest security and anti-fraud protection.
BML’s Deputy CEO Mohamed Shareef said that bank has been working to find ways in which to provide better service to its customers.
The bank has also consistently conducted social work since January under its ‘Aharenge Bank’ campaign, which literally translates to 'My Bank' and is aimed at improving relations between the bank and the public.
With 34 branches in 20 atolls across the Maldives which comprises of 86 ATMs, BML has 4,000 Point of Sale merchants, 200 cash agents, 28 Self Service Banking Centres and five Dhoni Banking Units.
