Three resorts being operated in the Maldives by Kaimoo Resorts and Hotels received Covid-Safety Gold Certificates in December 2020, one of the highest international certifications awarded by the Hotel Resilient Initiative.

Summer Island Maldives, Embudu Village and Equator Village were awarded the certificates based on the comprehensive health and safety precautions being implemented and maintained on the islands.

The certification proves the resorts' commitment to creating a clean and safe environment for guests with primary focus on safeguarding their health during the global Covid-19 pandemic, and identifies the robust policies in place to achieve that effect, including social distancing measures and treatment facilities to be used in case guests test positive for Covid-19 while on holiday.

Managing Director at Kaimoo Resorts and Hotels, Manih Ahmed said that they were overjoyed at being awarded the certifications. He added that they proved the resorts' dedication to protecting the health and safety of tourists on the island, and that tourists could now safely visit the Maldives without fear for Covid-19.

The Covid-Safety Gold Certificates is one of the highest certifications being awarded by the Hotel Resilient Initiative, which validates efforts by hoteliers all over the world to protect the health and safety of guests traveling to different destinations during the global Covid-19 pandemic.
