Former Parliamentarian Abdullah Jabir has ordered Velidhoo Constituency MP Abdullah Yameen to payback the MVR 2 million taken from him as a loan.
In a letter sent to the Parliamentarian on Wednesday, Jabir said that even MP Yameen will agree that he had taken out a loan of MVR 2 million from Jabir. The letter stated that MP Yameen had a seven-day period beginning from 25th April 2017, to pay the loan. If he failed to pay the loan in the given period, Jabir’s letter stated that he will enforce legal measures on MP Yameen.
MP Yameen had not answered his phone, when Raajje.mv reached out for a comment.
However, MP Yameen had reported to other medias that he did not take out a loan from Jabir and that this was slander.
